1. Objective and Responsible Body

This data protection declaration clarifies the type, scope and purpose of the processing of personal data within our online offer and the associated websites, functions and content. It applies regardless of the domains, systems, platforms and devices used to access the online offer.

The provider of the online offer and the body responsible under data protection law is LeanActivity GmbH, owner Martin Schneider, Braunstr. 5, 81545 Munich, Germany. For contact options, please refer to our imprint.

The term "user" includes all customers and visitors to our online offer and is to be understood as gender-neutral.

2. Basic Information on Data Processing

We process personal data only in compliance with the relevant data protection regulations and in accordance with the principles of data economy and data avoidance. Data is processed only where there is legal permission, where the data is required to provide contractual or online services, or where consent has been given.

We take organizational, contractual and technical security measures in accordance with the state of the art in order to protect the data processed by us against accidental or intentional manipulation, loss, destruction or access by unauthorized persons.

If content, tools or other means from third-party providers are used and their registered office is abroad, data may be transferred to the countries in which those providers are based. Such transfers take place only on the basis of legal permission, user consent or suitable contractual safeguards.

3. Processing of Personal Data

In addition to the uses expressly mentioned in this privacy policy, personal data may be processed on the basis of legal permissions or user consent for the following purposes:

  • The provision, execution, maintenance, optimization and securing of our services and user-facing offerings.
  • Ensuring effective customer service and technical support.

We transfer user data to third parties only where this is necessary for billing purposes, delivery obligations or the fulfillment of contractual duties.

When contacting us via contact form or email, the information provided by the user is stored for the purpose of processing the request and any follow-up questions.

Personal data is deleted as soon as it has fulfilled its intended purpose, provided no statutory retention requirements prevent deletion.

4. Collection of Access Data

We collect data about every access to the server on which this service is located. The access data includes the name of the accessed website or file, date and time of access, amount of data transferred, notification of successful access, browser type and version, operating system, referrer URL, IP address and the requesting provider.

We use this log data without assigning it to the user for statistical evaluations, operation, security and optimization of our online offer. However, we reserve the right to check the log data retrospectively if, based on specific indications, there is a legitimate suspicion of illegal use.

5. Cookies and Range Measurement

Cookies are information that is transferred from our web server or third-party web servers to the user's web browser and stored there for later retrieval. Within the scope of this online offer, they may be used for pseudonymous range measurement.

Viewing this online offer is generally also possible with the exclusion of cookies. If users do not want cookies to be stored on their computer, they can deactivate the corresponding option in their browser settings. Saved cookies can also be deleted there. Please note that excluding cookies can lead to functional restrictions of this online offer.

Many online advertising cookies can be managed via aboutads.info/choices or youronlinechoices.com.

6. Google Analytics

We use Google Analytics, a web analysis service from Google Inc. Google uses cookies. The information generated by the cookie about the use of our online offer is usually transferred to a Google server in the USA and stored there.

Google uses this information on our behalf to evaluate the use of our online offer, compile reports on activities within the online offer and provide additional services related to usage and the internet. Pseudonymous user profiles may be created from the processed data.

We use Google Analytics only with activated IP anonymization. This means the IP address is shortened within member states of the European Union or in other contracting states of the EEA. The full IP address is transferred to a Google server in the USA and shortened there only in exceptional cases.

Users can prevent the storage of cookies through their browser settings and can also prevent Google from collecting and processing the data generated by the cookie by using the browser plug-in available at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.

More information is available in Google's policies on partners, ads and privacy:

  • Use of data by Google when using partners' websites or apps
  • Use of data for advertising purposes
  • Manage information Google uses to show ads
  • Determine which advertisements Google shows you

7. Google Re / Marketing Services

We use the marketing and remarketing services of Google Inc. in order to show advertisements more specifically to users who may be interested in our website or our offers.

For this purpose, Google executes code and stores cookies or comparable technologies on the user's device. These may record which websites the user has visited, which content is of interest, which offers were clicked, as well as technical browser and operating-system information.

The user's IP address is also recorded. As described under Google Analytics, it is shortened within the EU or EEA and only transferred in full to a Google server in the USA in exceptional cases. According to Google, the IP address is not merged with other Google data.

The data is processed pseudonymously. This means the ads are managed for the cookie owner, not for a directly identified person, unless the user has expressly permitted otherwise.

The Google marketing services we use may include Google AdWords, DoubleClick, AdSense and Google Tag Manager. More information on Google's use of data for marketing purposes is available at google.com/policies/technologies/ads and the privacy policy at google.com/policies/privacy.

We also use lead generation services. In particular, we use Leadfeeder, a service of Liidio Oy, Mikonkatu 17 C, Helsinki 00100, Finland, to identify company visitors via Google Analytics data. Leadfeeder is integrated into our CRM and email marketing setup. Leadfeeder's privacy policy is available at leadfeeder.com/privacy.

8. Facebook Social Plugins

Our online offer uses social plugins from facebook.com, operated by Facebook Ireland Ltd., 4 Grand Canal Square, Grand Canal Harbor, Dublin 2, Ireland. The plugins can be recognized by Facebook logos or the addition "Facebook Social Plugin".

When a user calls up a function of this online offer that contains such a plugin, the device establishes a direct connection with Facebook servers. The content of the plugin is transmitted directly to the user's device and integrated into the online offer. User profiles can be created from the processed data.

We have no influence on the amount of data Facebook collects with the help of this plugin. If the user is logged into Facebook, Facebook can assign the visit to the Facebook account. If the user is not a member of Facebook, there is still the possibility that Facebook will find out the IP address and store it.

More information on the purpose and scope of data collection and further processing by Facebook is available at facebook.com/about/privacy. Users who do not want Facebook to collect data via this online offer should log out of Facebook before using the site and delete their cookies.

9. Facebook Re-marketing

So-called Facebook pixels are used within our online offer. They help Facebook determine visitors to our offer as a target group for the presentation of advertisements, so-called Facebook ads.

We use the Facebook pixel so that Facebook ads placed by us are shown only to users who have also shown an interest in our website. In addition, we can use the pixel to understand the effectiveness of Facebook ads for statistical and market-research purposes.

The Facebook pixel may store a cookie on the user's device. The data collected about the user is anonymous to us, but may be stored and processed by Facebook so that a connection to the respective user profile is possible.

Users can object to the collection by the Facebook pixel and the use of data for Facebook ads via facebook.com/settings?tab=ads, aboutads.info/choices or youronlinechoices.com.

10. Newsletter

By subscribing to our newsletter, users agree to receive the newsletter and the procedures described in this section. The newsletter may contain information about our products, offers, promotions and our company.

Registration takes place in a double opt-in process. After registration, the user receives an email asking for confirmation. Registration and confirmation times as well as the IP address are logged for proof purposes.

The newsletter is sent by The Rocket Science Group LLC d/b/a Mailchimp. Email addresses and the related data described in this privacy policy are stored on Mailchimp's servers and used to send and evaluate the newsletter on our behalf.

To register for the newsletter, it is generally sufficient to provide an email address. Newsletters may contain web beacons that help evaluate opening rates, reading behavior and clicked links. These evaluations serve to improve our content and its relevance.

Users can cancel receipt of the newsletter at any time and revoke consent. A cancellation link is included at the end of each newsletter.

11. Integration of Services and Content from Third Parties

Our online offer may integrate content or services from third-party providers, such as maps, fonts or videos. This always requires that the third-party providers perceive the user's IP address, because without it they could not send the content to the browser.

Third-party providers may also set their own cookies and process user data for their own purposes. We use such content as sparingly as possible and aim to choose reliable third-party providers with regard to data security.

The following providers are explicitly referenced:

  • Google Fonts: privacy policy and opt-out
  • Google Maps: privacy policy and opt-out
  • YouTube: privacy policy and opt-out

12. User Rights and Deletion

Users have the right, upon request, to receive information free of charge about the personal data we have stored about them.

In addition, users have the right to correct incorrect data, revoke consent, block and delete their personal data and, in the event of unlawful data processing, submit a complaint to the responsible supervisory authority.

The data stored by us is deleted as soon as it is no longer required for its intended purpose and provided that deletion does not conflict with statutory retention requirements.

13. Changes to the Privacy Policy

We reserve the right to change this privacy policy in order to adapt it to changed legal situations or to changes in the service and data processing.

This applies only to declarations on data processing. If user consent is required or components of the privacy policy contain provisions of the contractual relationship with users, the changes are made only with the consent of the users.

Users are asked to inform themselves regularly about the content of this data protection declaration.
